This article is about the original 2015 plushie owned by KitSixtyFour. For the fictional character based on Dogui’s design, see Comet.

Dogui

Dogui is the name of a plushie owned by KitSixtyFour. Dogui has made appeared in Kit’s online life since 2021, including the StuffyXP YouTube channel.

History

Dogui was given to Kit on 13 October 2015 as a gift from their aunt (who has passed away in mid 2024) when Kit and their family visited them a day prior.

The plush first appeared on a StuffyXP video recorded and uploaded on 9 May 2024, part of the so-called Stuff Life era, being the main protagonist of the latter. Since then, Dogui has made several appearances and roles in video from said era until 2024, where the focus of the channel was changed from plushies to technology, following the release of A VMware First-Timer installs Windows XP!.

Dogui also appeared in the StuffyXP profile picture from October 2023 to July 2024, depicting him on over the Clouds background used in Windows 95 and Windows 98, with a yellow dotted outline on him. Additionally, a photo of Dogui was sent to the Lynxmic’s Lodge Discord server on January 2024.

On June 2024, an inside joke named after the plushie was created with the name of Dogui Heavy Coding Industries on the Lynxmic’s Lodge Discord server. It has since been one of the most popular inside jokes within the Axeon Network, even to the point of getting a building in the Horicraft Minecraft server. Additionally, many stickers depicting Dogui have been added to the Stuffy’s Place! and StuffyXP Hangout Discord servers.

While planning the development of the planned Arctic operating system, its graphical user interface was internally codenamed “DogUI”, standing for The Dog User Interface as a backronym. This codename was scrapped with the development of Arctic Sydney, with the graphical user interface and experience was changed to be “Flutter”.

On March 2025, Kit designed what would eventually become Comet, which resembles Dogui’s appearance and was even named as the latter in its early prototypes. At some point in February, the character was renamed to Comet to avoid confusion with the plushie.

On June 2026, the photo of Dogui taken in 2024 was retaken.
