StuffyXP (commonly abbreviated as STXP) was a tech-focused (formerly plushie-focused) YouTube channel ran and operated by KitSixtyFour launched on 13 March 2020. It was closed and deleted in 16 March 2025 due to Kit’s declining mental health status.

History

2020-2022: Yoshi Land0842 and Stuff Life

The channel was created on 13 March 2020 under the name Yoshi Land0842¹ but didn’t have content until April 2021 following the rebrand from Yoshi Land0842 to Stuff Life, and the release of Kit’s first video.

The video (along with its sequel, which was uploaded the same day) consisted of a showcase of Kit’s plushies, including Dogui (who was used in the branding of StuffyXP from October 2023 until July 2024). The videos were edited on a mobile photo and video editor called InShot on their Samsung Galaxy J5, which was a gift from Kit’s father.

Other various content included other types of so-called “short movies”, gameplay of games pre-installed on Kit’s Galaxy J5, and sneak peeks of future videos. Additionally, short vlogs and “plushie shorts” were uploaded to the channel between that time, during the same time YouTube Shorts was rolled out globally.

The channel’s upload schedule continued normally yet causally until December 2021. The last video from that year was a teaser for upcoming videos planned for 2022, although they were never made as Kit didn’t upload anything to the channel until 2023.

2023: The channel revival and Stuffy

The channel was revived in 2023, notable uploads include a COVID-19-based video of their plushies chatting in a Zoom-like UX, with all of them ““talking”” (in reality just Kit making high-pitched sounds, imitating ambigious animal sounds) at the same time (along its sequel), and several other short films featuring Kit’s plushies.

Though I might think of them as cringe, it was child me that truly had some peak imagination, absolute cinema, one might say.

Additionally, 2023 also marked the start of the StuffyXP tech era (which co-existed with the plush videos), as videos featuring TheCeleryPC consisting of using VirtualBox for installing operating systems like Windows XP and Windows Vista were uploaded. These videos were recorded with a camera, as Kit was unaware of screencast software at that time.
Other notable videos include Kit re-installing Windows 7 on TheCeleryPC (which was the first public appearance of the computer itself, as the monitor was the only component shown prior to this video).

On 3 October 2023, the Stuff Life channel was rebranded to Stuffy, introducing a new version of the Dogui branding used in the profile picture and banner. The StuffyYT20 handle was used for the channel for a couple of months before switching to StuffyXP a couple of days later.

2024: A VMware First-Timer installs Windows XP!, Stuffy’s Tech Misadventures, and the rise of StuffyXP

On 17 December 2023, Kit created their Discord account and joined a couple of tech-related servers not long after, and thus inspired them to make Windows-related videos. The StuffyXP channel was revived once again with the beggining of the production of A VMware First-Timer installs Windows XP! on 3 January 2024, the first video of the StuffyXP era. This video is also the first video to be made on TheCeleryPC, Kit’s daily driver from 2021 to 2024, and Camtasia Studio 8, both of which would’ve been deprecated in favor of DaVinci Resolve under NishiLappy.

The development of A VMware First-Timer installs Windows XP! was deemed difficult since a week later, the original project file got corrupted, causing the video to be delayed from its original release date of 18 January, and to be remade from scratch. The video went through 3 total operating system changes within its production; it was recorded on Windows 8.1, it was edited on Windows Vista, and it was uploaded on Windows 7. Since then, A VMware First-Timer installs Windows XP! officially released on 13 February 2024. In the meanwhile, Kit’s first Discord server, Stuffy’s Place, was formally launched on 3 January 2024, and the development of the original Stuffy Website began.

Following the release of A VMware First-Timer installs Windows XP!, a new video series planned to release in March 2024 titled Stuffy’s Tech Misadventures (abbreviated as STM) was created on February 2024. It was inspired from Computer Clan’s Krazy Ken’s Tech Misadventures YouTube series, with the same focus of using technology in random ways. The first STM episode, allegedly titled Mac OS X Jaguar… on Windows XP!?, began development on March 2024 and consisted of running Mac OS X 10.2 Jaguar on Windows XP via PearPC, a PowerPC G3 emulator for Microsoft Windows. The video was ultimately cancelled due to the original video footage becoming corrupted out-of-nowhere on mid March, with only the project file remaining. The video could theorically be re-recorded, but Kit was demotivated after the event, thus it was cancelled. It is notable that photos of the behind-the-scenes of the video had been shared by Kit during the development of the video.

After the cancellation of the PearPC video, Kit changed the focus of the first episode of STM to installing VMware Workstation 12.0.0 on Windows Vista, which is not officially supported (as version 10.0.7 is the last version officially supported for Windows XP and Windows Vista). This video was finished on May 2024, but was lost because the DVD that hosted a backup of the video became corrupted (that is, it asked to be formatted). Only two photos exist of the video; a sneak peek shared by Kit on April 2024, and the original thumbnail.
A soft-cameo of this video was included as a segment in Installing modern programs on Windows Vista!, and was completely remade over 6 months later with the release of Running VMware Workstation 12 on Windows Vista! on the AstroNT channel.

Around May, other smaller/filler videos were in production shortly after the video was lost, most notably The ULTIMATE Windows 98 VM!, and Using Protoweb on Windows 95. However, due to the cancellation as a whole of Stuffy’s Tech Misadventures, the latter (alongside their brother and sister videos) were ultimately scrapped. Additionally, the source code of the original Stuffy Website was deemed lost media due to an improper hard disk format, causing it to be remade from scratch an entire month later.

On July, the Dogui-based branding was scrapped in favor of something based on Windows XP, akin to the channel’s name. Alongside that, Running VMware Workstation 12 on Windows Vista! officially released the 23rd, over 5 months later after the last video. 12 days later, The Windows XP Vibes are here! – Whistler Beta 2 was released but wasn’t met success at all, as it fell off compared to other videos. However, A ReactOS video but everything goes kinda normal… was released not long after, which was met with usual performance, and this video was suggested to Kit after they reached out for video ideas on their Mastodon account.

On 30 August, Haiku – The modern implementation of BeOS! was released to a sudden critical acclaim, to the point of getting mentioned in a blog post. This video became the most popular video in just a week, marking the start of the rise of the StuffyXP channel as a whole. Prior to the deletion of the channel, it hit 1.9K views and had the first place of the most popular video, with VMware’s Early Days… (v1.0-294) coming second. A couple of days later, the StuffyXP Website, a successor to Stuffy’s Website more focused on the StuffyXP channel, was released on 16 September 2024.

Not long after, TheCeleryPC, Kit’s daily driver, went in maintaince mode once again due to a problem with the operating system, more specifically, the Windows partition was not set to active, rendering it unbootable. The issue was fixed a couple of days later, with an update video posted by Kit being proof of it. This is one of the two times Kit publicly showed their voice, the first time being a rickroll video on the StuffyXP Extras channel on March 2024, where a clip of Kit saying “hello!” was embedded at the end of the song. After that, Is the Intel Pentium F00F bug possible on 86Box? was released on the 23rd and was met with some-what good performance, and Exploring IBM’s OS/2 - yet another 1990s tech underdog! (later known as The forgotten Windows Competitor…) was released 5 days later, only for it to flop, like The Windows XP Vibes are here! – Whistler Beta 2.

October was one of the months where the StuffyXP channel went inactive, due to Kit being demotivated to make videos at the time, and instead focused on other projects. StuffyXP Hangout was officially launched that month, succeeding the old Stuffy’s Place Discord server, now focused on the StuffyXP channel instead of Kit themselves, completing the StuffyXP Network, a collection of projects released under the StuffyXP umbrella. Additionaly, the Avery and Kit collab was recorded around this time.

On November 2024, StuffyXP (and the rest of Kit’s projects) officially went on an almost month-long haitus due to the sudden death of TheCeleryPC. More specifically, the power supply unit (PSU) got fried following a power outage in Honduras on the 3rd of November. This caused the computer to incorrectly power on, as only some components managed to power on (more specifically, those reliant on AC power), but couldn’t completely power on the rest of the components, resulting in the fans spinning up “like crazy” without any display output. On the 28th of November, NishiLappy (known back-then as Thei5Lappy) was given to Kit, resulting in the end of the StuffyXP hiatus. Other projects, such as the StuffyXP Website, continued development.

A couple of days later, Geometry Dash… on Windows Vista!? was released, marking the return of the StuffyXP channel. However, this video caused problems since it was falsely striked by YouTube for “harmful and dangeorus content” twice, in the meanwhile, the StuffyXP Extras channel was used for updates regarding the situation, however, it was appealed at the same day, and ended up reinstated a day later. On the 21st of December, Using Windows 11 for the first time! was released as “an early christmas gift”, and was released to critical acclaim.

2025: The fall and closure of StuffyXP

On New Year’s 2025, the StuffyXP channel went through an internal refactor, that is, the person behind was wouldn’t be known as “StuffyXP” anymore, eventually splitting the identities of the channel as a whole, after Avery did the same with Lynxmic on July 2024. Alongside that, So i installed Arch Linux the other day… was released a couple of days later, also released to critical acclaim, similar to Using Windows 11 for the first time!.

On February 2025, Kit (known back-then as “Horibyte”) went through a major Discord break, causing a small haitus of the StuffyXP channel, and the eventual creation of the HoriServer. However, VMware’s Early Days… (v1.0-294) was released to critical acclaim on the 25th, and is considered one of the best StuffyXP videos by Kit themselves. Later that month, due to Kit’s declining mental state, VMware’s Early Days was meant to be the last StuffyXP video, and the channel was meant to close on the 13th of March, exactly at the channel’s 5 year anniversary.

On March 2025, Kit returned to Discord temporarily, but eventually became a full comeback (while still on a declining mental state). More early versions of virtualization software! (VirtualBox and Virtual PC) was released on 5 March, and is the last StuffyXP video to be ever made. It is the sequel to VMware’s Early Days, covering early versions Virtual PC and VirtualBox instead of VMware. The StuffyXP channel was announced to be closed and deleted on the 10th of March, and the channel was privately archived on the 14th. The channel was closed for good on the 16 March 2025, marking an end for Kit’s YouTuber career.

However, over nine months later, Kit rediscovered the StuffyXP channel after looking in their archives, and felt inspired to “try this tech field again”. AstroNT was announced on 20 October 2025 as an official successor to StuffyXP, and was officially launched on the 25th. Nowadays, AstroNT is managed by Kit and Avery, and is still active to this day.

Username origin

The origin of the StuffyXP name actually comes back from Kit’s old Reddit account. In the account creation process, Kit thought of appending a Windows version to “Stuffy”, as the latter wasn’t available. They originally thought of Stuffy7, but then changed it last minute to StuffyXP after realizing that it might cause confusion regarding their age.

YouTube Channels

StuffyXP Extras

StuffyXP Extras was a YouTube channel owned and operated by KitSixtyFour created on 26 June 2021. Its primary focus was being a place for “random shitposts, behind-the-scenes footage”, etc.

The channel’s subscriber count was low, and mainly featured videos like Kit’s voice reveal, test footage, raw footage and more.

Judging by the brand account name “Sttuf Blogs”, it was originally Kit’s vlogs channel but became an extras channel around 2023, it had Dogui as its primary branding.

Addionally, Kit has used the channel for backup purposes, such as when the StuffyXP channel was false-striked due to Geometry Dash…on Windows Vista!?.

StuffyXP Vlogs

StuffyXP Vlogs was a YouTube channel ran and operated by KitSixtyFour created on 14 July 2021. Its suggested focus was being Kit’s vlog channel, but that never came to life due to “no interesting events happening in Kit’s life”, while in reality was the lack of interest and equipment for creating vlog-style videos.

The channel never had any sort of content but was updated every time something needed to be updated (e.g branding, links, copyright), though one test video was uploaded to the channel sometime around March 2024 to test the YouTube functionality of Carl-Bot.

A video for the channel was planned sometime in late 2024, allegedly titled The $5 Wireless Keyboard & Mouse Combo – Will they work?, aluding to its name, consisted of Kit testing a keyboard & mouse combo whose value was $5 (around 130 HNL). The video was cancelled due to the combo not being able to connect to a computer due to a missing USB-to-wireless adapter, which wasn’t included in the box. Kit still owns this combo to this day.

The channel was originally known as MisAnimacionesPencil2D (english: MyAnimsPencil2D) which was going to be used as a place for Kit to upload their animations made in Pencil2D, a freeware animation program. The channel was eventually converted to Stuffy Vlogs sometime around in mid 2023.

Stuffy 64

Stuffy 64 was a gaming-focused YouTube channel ran and operated by KitSixtyFour created on 4 August 2023. It was deleted in March 2025 following the StuffyXP closure.

It was the only channel that retroactively co-exited with StuffyXP’s video uploads. It later surpassed StuffyXP in subscribers for almost a month. It has been stated by Kit that “the channel’s name is a reference to both the Nintendo 64 and Super Mario 64”.

The channel’s first uploads were YouTube Shorts of Kit’s Super Mario 64 save file, one of these being footage of Kit getting to the credits sequence in the game, and another one was them showcasing some Super Mario 64 bugs and glitches, like how to get to Tower of the Wing Cap without directly looking at the ceiling in Peach’s Castle, or clipping through walls via item boxes.

The channel was revived in mid 2024, debuting the 96Flashbacks video series. The series lasted 6 episodes out of the 8 episodes originally planned, Episode 7 was cancelled after Kit lost their save file after reinstalling Windows.

Around mid-to-late 2024, the channel was revived again, now with a focus on the Mario & Luigi franchise, mainly Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story for the Nintendo DS. This era was the time where both the subscriber count and video count increased significantly due to how easy it was to make these videos. Even at one point on the channel’s lifetime, the channel surpassed StuffyXP in susbcribers.

The channel’s content at that time included videos like the Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story debug room, gauntlet and several other gameplay bits. Videos regarding Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time and Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga were also upoaded, but were far less frequent than Bowser’s Inside Story.

Following the introduction of Thei5Lappy after TheCeleryPC’s death, Geometry Dash videos were also uploaded, most notably level showcases, bugs, and achievements.

StuffyXP VODS

StuffyXP VODS was a YouTube channel owned and operated by KitSixtyFour created in 22 December 2024. Its main purpose was to archive streams from Kit, but it never eventually uploaded anything, and the latter was deleted when the StuffyXP channels were moved to their respective separate emails.

StuffyXP Network

Other projects have also been made throughout 2024 under the StuffyXP umbrella, officially referred to collectively as the “StuffyXP Network”:

• StuffyXP Website: Kit’s personal website while they were known as StuffyXP, the precursor to HoriWebsite and other iterations. Initial development in late February 2024, discontinued early January 2025 in favor of HoriWebsite.
• StuffyXP Hangout: A Discord Server primarily meant for fans of the StuffyXP channel and the wider Network to hangout in. It is the successor to Stuffy’s Place in early October 2024, it was shut down on March 2025 along with the StuffyXP Closure and later successed by HoriServer (2).
• StuffyXP Extras (& Co.): With the Whistler-themed rebrand of StuffyXP, other StuffyXP channels have received StuffyXP naming as well, with the exception of Stuffy 64. In November 2024, Stuffy+ had been renamed to StuffyXP Extras, and Stuffy Vlogs as StuffyXP Vlogs.
